SUMMARY:From Data to Action: How to Build a Truly Effective Lawn Fertilizer Outreach Campaign
DESCRIPTION:September 22\, 2026 | 9:30am – 4:00pm\nHousatonic Community College\, Bridgeport\, Connecticut\nFree to attend | Registration required \nHow can data help us develop more effective campaigns to reduce lawn fertilizer use? What are the best practices and tools of an effective outreach campaign? \nJoin practitioners from across the Long Island Sound region for a free\, one-day interactive workshop focused on using data and behavior change strategies to strengthen fertilizer reduction outreach. \nThe workshop will take participants from understanding the data to putting it into action. \nDuring the first part of the day\, the developers of the Long Island Sound Lawn Fertilizer Outreach Targeting Tool will introduce the tool\, explain how it was developed\, and demonstrate how practitioners can use it to better understand audiences and fertilizer behaviors in communities around Long Island Sound. \nThen\, a behavior change expert will help participants take the next step: using insights from the tool to begin developing an effective community campaign.
