#DontTrashLISound – 7 (Summer 2019)

This April, environmentalists from Conserve Wildlife Foundation of NJ and NJDFW rescued an American Oystercatcher entangled in a fishing line on a New Jersey beach. The plastic monofilament fiber used by anglers can be deadly for many coastal birds. Anglers should look for monofilament recycling bins available at some piers. Read more about the problem on Audubon’s website here- https://www.audubon.org/news/this-common-form-plastic-pollution-menace-birds. See the Facebook post of the rescue here. http://ow.ly/piME50uZHoL Break the #SingleUsePlastic Habit. Protect #LISound Wildlife. #DontTrashLISound.
