What’s Littering Long Island Sound?

Every fall, volunteers from all over the world, including Long Island Sound, conduct coastal cleanups and report their findings to the Ocean Conservancy as part of the International Coastal Cleanup. Here is what was collected in Long Island Sound cleanups in fall 2020.

The coastal cleanups in the Long Island Sound region are coordinated by the American Littoral Society in New York and Save the Sound in Connecticut. The Long Island Sound Partnership compiles the data for the Marine Debris Ecosystem Target.
