Some animals may be getting ready to hibernate or have migrated to warmer climates, but protecting Long Island Sound is a year-round activity for us humans! From habitat restoration and winter bird counts to cleanups, there are opportunities to get involved even as the days get shorter and colder.
This issue covers volunteer and community science opportunities for both November and December. We’ll be moving to an every-other-month schedule through the winter, then returning to monthly newsletters in the spring.
